PUPPPS relief recommendations!

I think I have developed this. Youchers. Kept me up last night. This is all I need, I finally got my sleeping back under control, now this. Can't win. Itchy, and irritated. I put cold washcloths on to soothe today, and that helped, but my fear is nighttime.

Help!

I'm soooo sorry!!! I had this for the past 3 weeks and it just went away on it's own (my MW thinks it is hormonal and was actually surprised taht it went away before baby came). Anyway, here is what i did:

1. PINE TAR SOAP - the best thing! It gave me relief for hours. I was taking 2-3 showers per day. You can get it at your local health food store. Start with a nice warm shower and then lather up like crazy with a loofah or similar type of scrubby. I would actually turn the shower off and lather up, let it sit on my skin for a while (1-2 minutes), adn then rinse off in cool water. Pat yourself dry (don't rub). I hope it works as well for you as it did for me. Oh -and one thing, i found that the pine tar soap actually made it feel worse before feeling better (I had heard other peopel say that too which is why I stuck with it). Give it a day or two.

2. I made up a bottle of witch hazel with a good amount of tea tree oil. it doesn't smell the greatest but it really helped me. It's kinda drying but I didn't care because it would stop the itching. it was especially helpful at night.

There is a ton of info online (google "naomi's puppps")...you might find some of that helpful as well. It's a bit overwhelming so be prepared.

Good luck!! I hope you get some relief...

I was going to suggest the Naomi's Pupps page too.
Also ask your provider to rule out cholestasis.
