What cover for a chunky boy?

I need recs for a cover for a boy with very chunky thighs. we're using PF's right now, and the legs seem way too tight on his wraps. he cries when I put them on!

he's 5 mos, and is getting allergic contact spots from the sposies, so I need to go back to cloth, but I need a better cover.

help!

DS2 is chunky and gets red marks easily. We have one PUL cover that's better than the others (Wonderwraps 1size), but overall the only thing that REALLY works is wool shorties No red marks at all

How do you use the wool, and what does it do?

You can either use wool wraps (vel-cro covers made from wool) or shorties/soakers/longies. You put the cover on like a regular cover, and usually switch between 2 covers at each change. The wool breathes, but absorbs a small amount of wetness which then evaporates b/c of the self-cleaning properties of wool.

Wool has to be handwashed--but only once every 2-3 weeks. And it's easy. Fill sink, squirt soap, soak wool 30 minutes, rinse, lay out to dry. I did it in five minutes today, and then sprayed on Lanolin, which is what gives it its waterproof quality.

Shorties/Longies usually have a drawstring waist and no elastic anywhere.

I like our wool soakers and liked the Little Beetle covers, too. What about Bummis? They are super adjustable; I've been using them for months on my chunky monkey.
