diapers for chicken legs

I have a 4-month old who has skinny chicken legs. I have tried to CD but the Fuzzibunz (size Small) leak around the legs even though I have them snapped as tight as they'll go and even put in an extra insert in addition to the terry cloth insert in the pocket. Any suggestions for preventing leaks around the legs? Are there certain CD that are better for babies with skinny legs? Thanks!

My ds is 2 now, but has always been on the petite side. Fuzzibunz has been the one diaper that did NOT work very well for us. Everything else has been fine. Happy Heiny was on the big side for a while, but fits fine now. BumGenius, Haute Pocket (wore out quickly), Mommy's Touch and TinyTush all fit ok. TinyTush is my fave for fit and durability.

You'll get some more suggestions, but I always think it's best to try a few and see what works before you buy a bunch of anything... Good luck!

Green Acre Designs pockets are perfect for babies built like that. My ds2 is so skinny and the Green Acre Designs (pockets or AIOs) are the only dipes that fit him without leaks and stay up.

Don't get rid of your fuzzi bunz. I have a CHICKEN leg baby myself and she started wearing small fuzzi bunz at about 6m (she was about 12lbs and 25" at that point). They fit her GREAT then and still fit her really well about a year later (she's 18m and about 19lbs and 28" now). I didn't start cloth diapering until then, so I can't say what would have worked previous to that, but I do think you should hang onto those fuzzi bunz for future use. I LOVE them for my skinny bean.

A quick and easy fix would be using a nb or infant prefold and getting the fit nice and snug then you can use a FB to cover. At least till his legs fill out.

I've been wanting to get my hands on some softbums (www.softbums.com).
They have elastic in the legs to adjust the size. You should see their pics on a tiny nb!

We have a chicken legger too and we just bought one Blueberry pocket dipe to try and it's great. They're one size (like BumGenius with adjustable rise). They say the minimum thigh size is 4". Anyway we're going back to buy more next week! We like them...HTH
