Mucous plug

Is this me losing my mucous plug? TMI, but, I have had an increase in discharge over the last couple of days that is much thicker (and more yellow) than normal. Is this me slowly losing pieces of it? Does this mean I'm dilating? I don't remember this happening during my last pregnancy, and I never noticed the mucous plug at all last time. I feel so silly asking this when so many of you have had your babies or are at least having contractions!

Also, if you had your babe already, what was the timing for you between losing your plug and giving birth?

Google tells me it is my mucous plug. Now I just want to know the answer to my second question! Curiosity!

i've been losing mine bit by bit for 2 weeks.....still no baby!

I've also been losing mine since 39 weeks and I am 42 weeks today...I think that once I saw some blood tinged mucous with DS it was within a few days he was born...

Definitely plug

Didn't lose mine until I was actually in labour this time. Don't remember losing it at all with ds2. Lost it all at once when my water broke with ds1.

It can be a couple weeks until labour, though.

Been losing mine for a week now and no baby. Yesterday and this morning I had huge, huge snotty brownish red globs come out...so I think I have totally lost it now. (In more ways than one)

But my contractions have all but stopped.

I've been experiencing the same thing for a week or so, along with increased contractions... my body is gearing up for labor, I guess, slowly but surely...

I never lost mine in a blob w/DD, either.

If it looks like snot than it is definitely it. There is no mistaking it! I have been losing my mucous plug for weeks, a bit here and there, but I have also lost it as close as 3 days in. Some women lose it as labor starts. I hope it means soon for you if you are ready!

I started losing mine today. It was very clear which I remember it being more yellowish last time. It was about a week for me last time.

I'm really hoping it doesn't take that long this time.

No sign of mine.... With both of my previous children I lost my plug and then went into labor within a couple of hours. So I have been checking every time I pee.. which we all know is like every 10 minutes!
