Hmm, I think my husband's morphology was fine, and he DOES have a chromosomal problem, so in our case, the two aren't related.
But, it's definitely a good thing that you're having the karyotype done! If his issues stem from something chromosomal, it would be best if you knew this so as to avoid the multiple miscarriages that could come from an issue like that. My husband's sperm count is so low that it is virtually impossible for us to conceive naturally anyway, but some couples with genetic issues are still able to conceive naturally and end up miscarrying a LOT because they are carrying genetically abnormal embryos.
Also, if we were to do IVF without PGD (genetic testing), we'd be spending all of that money and time to possibly transfer chromosomally abnormal embryos... so it's better for us that we know exactly what's going on... and if you are also in that kind of a situation, it's GOOD for you to be finding out... don't worry too much!
