I'm kind of exploring every possible route to find the cause of my low supply with my DD. I'm curious if anyone knows more about prolactin deficiency as a cause for initial low milk supply? I've read that it is rare, but possible, to be prolactin deficient without having other pituitary issues, such as those caused by post partum hemorrhage and/or Sheehan's Syndrome, which supposedly is almost unheard of in the United States thanks to improved health care.
Also, how would one be tested for this deficiency? TIA.
