Other than alcohol I don't give up anything while pregnant (I don't smoke anyway). I still drink coffee, soda etc....

And I'm having a hard time loving my vitamins. They make me nauseous if I take them on an empty stomach (and did before I was pregnant, too), but most of the time I'm eating away from home and forget them.
I take mine at work sometimes, and would forget to bring them. So what I did was put a bunch in a ziploc sandwich bag in my purse - then you'll always have them with you!

Also, I don't have nausea, both others have told me if you do, sometimes it helps to take them right before bed.

I'm not allowed to take prenatals....too much iron (my iron levels are very high). So I take 1 childs vitamin morning and night and a folic acid separately.

I had to stop taking my prenatals when the nausea hit. I tried at night, but it didn't help. I think I have enough 'stores' for now though, plus I'm eating somewhat. :

I've stopped taking my prenatals too. Hopefully I can start again when this nausea stops.

I took childrens' vitamins last time too- I wasn't nauseous until I took the prenatals so my doctor told me I could take two a day of those instead. I just got my prenatals yesterday so I'll see what happens when I take them this time.
