hmmm... I do need to update my list from DD1.

commenting now 'cause I don't know if I saw...

a water bottle... I found it super handy to be able to keep a water bottle (I use nalgenes) right in the bed with me after the birth, instead of having to reach the little table thing... especially as I had a non-stop nurser!

Is Ibuprofen safe after delivery? If so, that is totally at the top of my list.

I had DH bring back a hair dryer, though I ended up deciding to wait until getting home and showering in my own shower, with my own towels too. But I was also in the hospital just barely over 24hrs.

I also brought my own toilet paper (for during labor) but the hospital actually had some decently soft tp.

And yes, ibuprofen is safe after delivery... thank goodness! (acetaminophen doesn't touch my aches and pains)

I haven't seen chapstick mentioned. I have this habit of always losing mine when I'm desperate for it, so I bought two double packs of Burt's Bees (my favorite) that are unopened and waiting with all of our birth center stuff.

Oh, and hairbands. I've got the big giant headband kind, and also small hairties, for whatever mood strikes me :-)
