Have you tried green smoothies? That's all I can do to get the greens in me some days....

Here's my recipe (feeds all four of us, cut it down if it's just you!)

1/4 pineapple
1 cup frozen blueberries
1 cup frozen strawberries
1 banana
1 cup yogurt
couple splashes milk
4-5 big handfuls baby spinach
1 Tablespoon ground flax seed (optional)
Avage nectar to taste (optional)

Blend until smooth!

I'm trying to work up to more greens and less fruit

I was doing green smoothies, but even those are completely revolting to me right now.

The first week of the Brewer's diet, I was doing it without dairy. Carter is allergic to dairy, spy, and wheat, and reacts to it in my diet. However, he is going to undergo some testing, which requires some exposure to the allergens. I'm adding the allergens back in, one at a time, every two weeks. I've been eating dairy since last Wednesday, and it has been so much easier to get my protein. Additionally, he doesn't seem to be reacting!

I may be able to stomach the green smoothie you posted. All of it sounds good, except the green part

Thanks for starting this thread!

Do you just add the spinach raw to the blender? Sounds good and I bet you can hardly taste the spinach w/ all the fruit.

I feel way less nauseous today, so hopefully I can eat better. :

Thanks for bringing this up! I never heard about the Brewer diet, so I just Googled him and I wish I knew this a couple of weeks ago! My body has been craving the protein, so the baby knows what it needs better than I do =) I've been eyeing the baked custard and deviled eggs recipes he has. They look good!

Just wanted to say I forgot two of the ingredients in the smoothie, they are both optional, though!

I only use the agave if the fruit is tart that day
