Yes, I totally want them to get together! I think they're adorable and he did a fabulous job making the dances not too sexy and over the top.

As for the winner...

I wish the other couple in the top two had won. However, all three couples were fabulous and it could have easily gone to any of them.

I loved all 3 of the finalists, and I watched the final with no idea who I was voting for. But Shawn and Mark's freestyle was the best danced, and the most fun. I think Gilles just didn't *MOVE* enough.

I was surprised with the result, I really assumed all this time that GIlles would be the winner, and Shawn and Mark 2nd or 3rd! I do love them though and am happy for them! I was glad to know so few votes separated the top two teams.

That comedy person was sooooo incredibly horrible and unwatchable, I hope they never do that again!

So does anyone know what's happened with past seasons' romances? I thought at some point mark and his former partner were together, and also Derek and Shannon. It seemed like Derek and Lil Kim were getting along quite well, too!! I really thought she would win and was very surprised she wasn't in the finale!

Derek and his previous partner were just putting it on for the camera. They got all snippy and whiny about the judges and public opinion turned against them. Next thing you know, they're practicing dancing on the beach. Conveniently, it was filmed with them in silhouette, him with no shirt (not normal for him) and her in a gauzy dress - they fall gently to the sand while practicing a lift and the camera pans out... it was unintentionally hilarious. They really tried to amp that up to get more votes, but it didn't work for them.

Mark and that Cheetah Girl were together for awhile after their pairing on the show. Didn't last too long I don't think. Young love. But they were cute together.

US magazine reported Sabrina and Mark splitting in May 2008; they met in November 2007.

It was in the media at the beginning of the current season (Oct 2008) that Derek and Shannon had moved in together, and they were seen together at a poker tournament in March 2009.

Mario Lopez and Karina Smirnoff were together for awhile but she is engaged to Macks now.
