And Now, a Stupid BH Q...

I really feel like an idiot for not knowing, but I honestly haven't had anything that I've been able to confidently identify as a BH contraction during this entire pregnancy.

Since around 9 pm tonight, I've been having these little random episodes of tightness in my chest that feel like my lungs are being constricted, accompanied by my belly tightening up (I even had DH feel it during and not during, for comparison's sake). I haven't even really been able to time them, because they're so short. They don't hurt or anything.

*CONFUSED*

I didn't notice them in my first pregnancy. The way I experience them now is that I feel my entire belly getting rock hard for a little while, and then it goes back to normal. There is no pain, but it's a little uncomfortable the bigger I get. Yours sound about the same.

Sounds like BH to me. When I get them my uterus tightens up, and it feels like my oxygen is being cut off a little. With my first pregnancy I didn't feel any BH the entire pregnancy though.

Yeah, I didn't notice any until around 38 weeks or so. They definitely make it a little tough to breathe. Then the real contractions actually HURT, but the ones I've had so far were not horribly painful... just akin to fairly strong period cramps, except with the whole belly getting hard too.

I have that, too. As a matter of fact, I had contractions all night long and every time I had one I felt it in my chest too, and almost in my throat! Nothing "scary"... but I just felt it. Most of the tightening was still in my belly.
