I'm hoping someone here has advice on buying a new laptop. I bought a new desktop for myself back in Oct., and now am wanting to purchase a laptop for the kids. They need one they can take from room to room, and I love to be able to be in the kitchen w/my recipe right there, lol. Only one child can be logged onto their online school at a time, so I want something the other child can be doing another program on at the same time. We have an amazing new art program, but my other desktop is sooooo old and slow I'm sure it won't run well (neither will their online schooling). I already have a wireless router and Norton that will handle 3 computers. I'm not even sure of my budget yet, but probably only in the $600-700 range. Any help would be appreciated!

This book feels good in your hands. The paper is heavyweight, and the illustrations flow perfectly.

i have a dell factory refurbished laptop. i got it here http://outlet.us.dell.com/ARBOnlineS...=22&l=en&s=dfh
you can get one for around $400, and mine is every bit as good as new. fast internet, plenty of memory, the battery lasts around 2 hours unplugged, an all-around great computer, and the price was definitely right!

I really love NewEgg.com. They are an uber-geek sort of site, with lots of technical parts, but they also sell new and refurb computers and they often have good deals on older model machines. I got my Toshiba laptop brand new but since it was a discontinued model, got an awesome deal. I also trust the feedback there...
