Doing rinses by hand?

I thought of another question...

I have a nice dryer, but my washer is pretty old and while it works great, I am not able to select cycles. It only has four buttons: cold, warm, hot, and start. So when I am washing my diapers, can I do the extra rinses by hand since I can't do them in the washer? Thanks again for all your help!

Oh and in case it matters, I have ordered fuzzi bunz one size and bum genius one size diapers.

I think it would takes less time to just do a second cycle w/o detergent. Heck, I used to have to do 2 washes straight through anyway

And ETA: as far as "conservation", I think the benefit of doing this would be greater, because the washer could probably get more water out in the spin cycle than wringing the diapers, therefore making for less drying time

Thank you for your reply! That makes much more sense, I guess I just have "mommy brain"!
