What album would you buy right now?

The title pretty much says it all. If you could buy any album right now what would you buy? I have some bday cash to spend and want more music but don't know what. I have the new U2 which was my big must have (I'm a very dedicated fan) but other than that there aren't any albums I've been waiting for. TIA for any suggestions!!! (I like pretty much everything)

Um...I dunno if you're an AI/Kelly Clarkson fan but one of my co-workers lent me her CD to listen to and I was pretty impressed with it. Total 180 from U2, but if you like everything....

If you don't mind listening to music off your computer, you can go to YouTube, add the videos to your favorite list and make a playlist from that. Viola! A new album that you didn't pay for but didn't break any laws acquiring!

Pick an artist you like, go to Pandora.com, create a radio station for that artist, see what other artists come up, then create an album on I-tunes with songs you like, or buy a whole album.

Right now I'm loving The Decemberists and Calexico. Check them out on Pandora.

I *love* the Decemberists! Picaresque is my fave, so many of those songs get stuck in my head.

If I were to buy an album right now it would probably be Neko Case's new album Middle Cyclone. I checked my library today and there are like 400 holds on 20 copies or something. I haven't heard her too much, but it's getting such good reviews that I want to check it out.

Other good albums that I have purchased lately:

Nellie McKay - Get Away From Me . Not new at all, but just picked it up used and I can't believe I've lived this long without it! So smart and funny and catchy.

Brian Eno and David Byrne - Everything That Happens Will Happen Today this album is amazing. I just love it, it's crazy good.

OK the Decemberists are also my fave and their new album came out on itunes yesterday...and I got it today...but its just OK. Its a little chaotic, and the story doesn't hold together as well as the Crane Wife.

But OP if you are not familiar with the Decemberists you should start with Picaresque. Its great.
