CTV, the Canadian channel that airs Idol, went out just after Megan sang. She is so awesome, even if that song was corny. She sounded fantastic. She doesn't need to do falsetto and riffs to be amazing. Her style, her quirkiness, herself. That is all she needs.

Good show tonight...

It's Michael Jackson night!

: Lil - awesome. I liked what she was wearing, so shut up Simon.

Scott - good, not great. I liked the song choice (Simon didn't).

: Danny - really great.

Michael - wow, he was much better than I expected.

Jasmin - she was just OK, but I love that song.

: Kris - I really like him, but that plaid shirt has to go.

Alison - just wow. Her hair looks a different shade of red this week, right?

Anoop - bad song choice, nice haircut.

Jorge - it was just OK. Simon is so mean, as usual. I didn't hate it as much as the judges.

Megan - yikes, why did she choose that song??? That was just odd, very odd.

Adam - that was a little screechy, dawg.

: Matt - he was great.

Alexis - wow, awesome shoes. And I liked her singing.

A lot of really talented people this year. Unfortunately, two people will be going home tomorrow night, not just one.

I hope they send Megan & Jorge home. They were my least favorites.

Good night overall! I bet the surprise announcement is that somehow the judges will have more input into who stays.

My favorites, and I can't decide who I want to win more because they're all so unique and great performers: Lil, Danny, and Allison

It took me a while to figure out who Michael was, after reading Cranberry's post! Really not memorable for me!

Kris- seems like a super sweet guy. The music seemed to overwhelm his voice.

Scott- awesome person, just not Idol material for me. I wish him great success though and his family must be beyond proud of his accomplishments!

Jasmine- pretty face but not a lot of depth as an artist. Just a girl singing a song to me, I wouldn't mind if she went home tomorrow.

Adam- yikes, it was laughable, he sounded like a screeching wailing old lady to me! I was flabbergasted at the judges comments! He is comfortable onstage, I can say that, but I don't get his style at all.

Poor Anoop- I really like him and hope he does well! Beat It was just not the song to sing! It didn't showcase his soulful voice. I hope he comes back strong next week.

Jorge- great guy, I hope he also has a better week next time. The song choice just was not right for him. Simon was so mean and Jorge didn't deserve that!

Megan sang a weird song, but I love her unusual voice, and always look forward to hearing what she's going to do. I really enjoy listening to her. Allison, too. She shouldn't have made that "I"m not cutting myself or anything" remark, though- tasteless.

TOTALLY! DH noticed it first and said that Paula looks really wierd. I started at her all night but couldn't put my finger on it, but yes, her face looked different!

I loved Adam and Danny tonight. I had high hopes for Anoop as well but I;m not sure he can make the cut. That song was just tooooo big for him.

I'm sorry to see a few of you didn't like Adam. I love his rocker personality and I think he has a stunning voice.

I really enjoyed tonight's show. I think it is an incredible group of singers.

For me, the most memorable were Lil, Danny, and Adam. I liked many of the other singers too.

I too like Adam's rocker personality. I agree with the judges--the notes he hits are wild! He has such a stage presence. He has beautiful eyes. I think I have a bit of a crush on him! He looked so touched by the judges' comments too.

I think Lill is very sassy and I like her singing.

I haven't been much of a Danny fan until tonight. Loved his performance tonight.

I liked Allison's previous performance but even though I thought she sang well tonight, I didn't enjoy her performance. I usually enjoy the rocker songs (hence my enthusiasm over Adam) but not hers tonight.

I was disappointed in Anoop and Jorge; they have been two of my favorites.

I like Megan's voice but thought the song didn't show her strengths. She has a good presence, though--I didn't agree with Simon that her performance was "dreadful" or whatever he said.

I wonder what the announcement will be tomorrow night? Do you think Simon is leaving the show or something? He seems bored this season.

I think Adam sounded atrocious! I couldn't beleive it when the judges loved him so much- I love rock music but it sounded like he was yelling, not singing!

I think Allison might be my new favorite...she has so much potential and reminds me of kelly clarkson. I'm sad that Anoop picked that song and didnt do so well, i hope he is safe but i dont know. I think he, Jasmine, and Jorge might be at risk.

Michael (is that his name?) seems so "blah" to me...he can sing, but he does nothin' for me....i mostly fast fwd through his song. He'll probably stick around for a couple more weeks but i dont see him getting that far.

Alexis...i liked her alot tonight. I didnt get the negative comments, i thought she did well.

Danny...he actually grew on me more tonight than before, he seemed more authentic and reminded me a teensy bit of the lovely Elliot Yamin.

Lil was great, of course.

Matt was fine. Kris was fine. I actually went "who??" when they said Kris was up next, couldnt remember him. The guitar seemed kinda unnecessary and more like "look! i play an instrument! i'm talented!"

Scott....eh. He's good at what he does but he didnt move me much. I wonder how long he'll be here.

Megan...i liked her song ok. I think she thought she would suck at singing a michael jackson song, so she did that one. I thought she sounded good, though i dont particularly LIKE the song. I really like the tone of her voice though i hate her little dance.

Adam. I just.dont.get the hype. At all. He seems like such a poseur to me. The whole rock star thing...it doesnt feel authentic to me at all. Like he's playing a rock star on a bad tv show or something. Maybe if he changed his hair i would feel better about him, but he has that oh so trendy rock star haircut. I would LOVE to see what his 10th grade high school pic looked like, to see how much he has changed himself and adopted this image. Plus, he way oversings and is overly dramatic onstage. Yes, he can hit some notes. But i dont get the adoration from the judges. Plus his eyes scare me, he's got shifty eyes. Evil eyes.


I hope Anoop gets another week and Jorge and Jasmine go home, but i'm not holding my breath.

I love Adam! Although, I might be biased because he's a friend His hair is driving me a bit nuts, he used to have a simpler style that worked wonderfully for him.

I actually liked Megan tonight. Go figure. Yea, the song was corny, but she made it work somehow. I still find her tattoos weird, but that's the old lady in me, I guess.

To me, Danny was the best of the night. Smokin' hot!!!!

I tend to agree with others that Adam is overhyped. Yea, he can sing, but his voice isn't the type I'd like to listen to for more than a few minutes.

I love Matt's voice, but he wasn't great last night. He definitely was better than some of the other guys, though.

They could get rid of Scott, Jorge and/or Michael and I would not mind. I would miss Anoop, but based on last night, it wouldn't surprise me if he didn't return.

First of all...boo to Michael Jackson night.

We recorded it and watched the second half live and then watched the first half. So, we saw Adam before we saw Danny and listening to the comments we were thinking that Danny must have bombed. But then we watched him and thought he was much better than Adam. I don't think Adam's bad at all, and I don't dislike him, but I don't know what all the hype is. I don't like however, when he sings a high/big note and his tongue sticks out. lol...it's weird.

That's what I think, too. Something along the lines of what they do on "So You Think You Can Dance", where there are a bottom 2 or 3 and the judges pick who is booted.

I agree. I don't think it's going to be up to "America" anymore.

On another note, I WANT to like Adam, I really do, but he just doesn't seem like a real rocker, more theatrical (which is what he's done in the past). And that glory note at the end with the tongue out, yikes!! (I agree with you, Rsmom!!!)

I liked Danny a lot. I also like Meghan last night. I didn't think Jasmine did too well.

I liked Danny, Adam, Matt, Allison, and Alexis' performances. I think Scott, Jorge, Jasmin, or Michael should go home. The rest were just okay.
