PLing and trainers?

Hi. So DD2 is PLing. : Maybe 1 accident a day. She still wears a diaper to bed. I am expecting a boy in July. I am thinking about selling all her girly pockets to fund some baby boy stuff. Do you think I should also buy her some trainers? At night I have to put her in a disposible... she used to pee an incredible amount. No matter what CD I put her in she would REEK to high heaven like ammonia in the Morn. It was discusting. So I gave in and used sposies at night. NOW however she isn't peeing as much at night, since she uses the potty before bed. So I am thinking about using CD at night for her. What CD should I get that will last through the night on my toddler? And whatever you recommend, what brands do you like? Links would be helpful, since I have crappy dialup and it would take forever for me to google and all that jazz. Thanks!

Oh yeah I forgot to add that I have prefolds galore that I use as backup for when the pockets are in the wash. I plan to save them for the future children. Should I get some wool covers for over them at night? Although, DD2 is super sensitive to wet bottom, and I don't want to have her waking at night for a diaper change. She is a bad enough sleeper as it is!

Would she fit in a traditional pocket dipe? Or maybe a large fuzzibunz? If she does, and they worked well for you, I might just use that. There are trainers out there, but it varies how much pee they hold...

Did you try stripping the dipes to get rid of the ammonia smell.

Honestly mama trainers were a waste here. He moved to trainers and literally a week later was completely trained (still having an accident once every three days, but still good ) If she is having a hard time with nights I've heard wonderful things about the Motherease trainers for night time

Good to know about the motherease. I have a store nearby that sells Motherease brand diapers and such.
I do strip my diapers often. I think the ammonia smell is just from her sitting in a wet cloth diaper for 10-12 hours a night.

Bumwear pullups trainer's are great for night time - I stuffed with a prefold - but if you really want to STUFF it - get the happy heiney pocket trainer with snaps - you can get 2 prefolds in there - but it's BULKY!!!!!!!!!!!
Use undies or commando during the day......
I've also used Blue Penguins fitted (easy to pull off) under wool shorties, Bummis whisper pants, and Blue Penguin's POSO cover with success.

They're price, but I love the imsevimse trainers I got for ds1. I use them all the time, and you never know how long your baby will take to learn, either.

we use sposie trainers at night for the reason you mentioned. We call them 'paper panties'. He actually woke DH up at 4 in the morning to' go potty', so it was nice to just be able to pull down his pants.
