Holy dizzy, faint, spinning feeling

Thread Starter
I have had the dizzy faint feeling over the past few days, coming and going, but man today has been just nonstop.
I shouldn't worry right, I don't remember feeling this with my previous pregnancies, so just want some opinions.
Thank you.

My sis actually fainted a couple of times with her DD. Doc said it's how some people react to the hormone increases.

Move slow and breathe mamma.

I have gotten dizzy spells but they did not last longer than several minutes. I used to faint during my teenage times a couple times. Make sure you eat and drink enough, get up slowly, and if you see stars and you vision narrows, go to the floor and put your legs up. Don't be afraid of fainting - your body will all get loose and you usually won't hurt yourself. Tell people around you, that you are feeling faint.

Before you get up (change position), try pumping your leg muscles a bit, that gets your blood flowing. Also, depending how much salt you eat (I don't eat a lot), eating some more, can help as well. Eating some crackers in bed before getting up can also help.

It really is not that uncommon. Take care!

I usually get the dizziness in the AM when I'm pregnant, but it doesn't seem to be that extreme. Belltree had some good advice. Usually once my blood is flowing, I feel better. Blood sugar or extremely reduced sodium intake also have that effect on me. Adding a bit more salt into your diet or increasing your protein intake throughout the day and before bed (can help stabalize blood sugars because it takes longer to metabolize) may help.

I had dizzy spells with my second child--in fact that was my first symptom! The hormones may cause this as well as the increase in your blood supply. Be sure to get lots of rest and take it easy when you first stand up from sitting!
