anyone interested in a healthy eating thread? - Page 2

I'm in! I am usually a very healthy eater, but last pg I couldn't handle most of what I usually ate. After being vegetarian for about 5 years......I had INTENSE CRAVINGS for red meat. I can still remember the first time I snuck to Wendy's to buy a cheeseburger. LOL!! I was embarassed to tell my dh (who was still vegan at the time). I ended up eating so so for most of that pg because of m/s and lack of appetite.
So I know I haven't hit the M/S stage yet and so I'm trying to keep eating really well. Also it manages my IBS which has been irritating these days.

For breakfast I eat a whole grain/rice hot cereal with pecans, brown sugar and soymilk.

Lunch is usually dinner leftovers. So generally some type of protein, grain, and occasionally veggies.

Snacks - I need more of these. I can't get enough food at work. Currently I bring nuts, crackers, banana, yogurt.

Dinner -Meals based around rice, pasta, veggies, salad, tofu, or chicken. Sweet potato french fries weekly!! Trying to cut down on dairy for my IBS. And too intimidated to eat beans right now---the bloating is too much, but I love them.

Aren't I doing a great job with this thead? I started it and have yet to post to it. I am a ravenous FOOL, I tell ya! I am so hungry. I am really trying hard to have a healthy breakfast- soy yogurt and fruit, or oatmeal.. lunch is the issue. I don't have time to sit down for lunch at work. I work at a restaurant. So I grab whatever I can pick at. Chips, etc. : Dinner is always healthy, but around 9:00pm I start feeling like I need a snack. God forbid I should have a piece of fruit... I need CHOCOLATE!

I wish I could just get down something REMOTELY healthy. I'm sick. :Puke

I did make lentils and cornbread for lunch, but could hardly have any. And I just had a small bowl of raisin bran...but it's sitting very precariously in my stomach...might come up shortly. :

I'm in for a healthy eating thread!

I don't have any morning sickness yet, so it's been easy. I am having some aversions to smells though.

I'm mainly focusing on full fats (meats, nuts, dairy, good oils, butter), lots of fruits and veggies, whole grains and limited sugars. I'm 80-90% organic, and I don't eat much if any junk. I do need to work on increasing my water intake.
