When did you start using the larger inserts in place of the newborn ones. My LO's pees have been rather "large" lately.

We've done a little EC, but I guess since her pees are "large" we should do it a little more! That's a whole different thread though.

You'll start using the larger inserts when you've moved up the snaps to make the diaper a larger size.

If she's still on the small setting and it's not absorbant enough, you might try adding some hemp, like a Little Weed, or a small hemp doubler under the microfiber. The microfiber will absorb quickly and the hemp absorbs a lot. It should help.

I'm probably not doing it "right", but I've been using the big inserts since I started using them. DS is a heavy wetter so I like having a little extra something in there. I use the small inserts as doublers for night time.

When I still had the snaps on the "small" setting, I stuffed it with 2 newborn inserts for overnight/car rides/other heavy wetting times. Once I moved up to the "medium" setting, I started using the bigger inserts all the time since the newborn ones slide around at that setting.

I was wondering that myself actually! My little girl is 6 months and 15lbs and we have been doing fine...so far with the newborn inserts except at night!

I just started using the bigger inserts yesterday. The diaper snaps are still on the small setting. Tonight is the first night I am using the BG instead of a disposable for overnight. My DD is 2.5 months and around 13 lbs. I thought that I was supposed to wait to use the bigger inserts, but I just put it in and am going to give it a try. Better than the waste of disposables if it works!

My little one was such a wetter that we used the 2nd snap setting and both inserts from birth (overnight) or during the day used the 2nd snap setting w/ the big insert. He was never able to do just the infant insert.

I think I'm going to use the large insert tonight too! We've been leaking lately.
