Hey all! I live in Robbinsdale. But we are thinking of moving to Plymouth or MG in the fall or winter of next year. We are also going to TTC at that time as well. My name is Randine and I am 24. Nice to meet all of you!

Hey Randine! Thanks for replying to my birth market post. . . I think I'm going to attend a childbirth collective meeting on doula workshops, wanna attend with me? What kind of doula training are you interested in?

Bummer ladies, I'm working the whole weekend. I'll have to try to catch the next meeting.

I'd heading over to my mom's house today to see if she can do some healing touch stuff for my morning sickness--it's really starting to demoralize me. I figure some Mom time can't hurt.

Hey! Did I miss your preggers??! What DDC are you in? Big congrats!! Try to make it next Friday AAnd kuddos to you for getting some kind of healing work done, does your mom do that professionally? I need some energy work done. . .

Lets plan a meetup of some kind every Friday Morning!! :

It can be anywhere some one has a good idea for. . .


This Friday it's coffee at the riverview. . . Anyone besides me and Summer going?

Good to know! I've been slowly starting to get to know people over in the Oct due date club, but sometimes it seems as if there are so many it's hard to keep them straight.

And yes, btw, my mom is a professional massage therapist, practices healing touch, and esoteric therapy as well. She works out of a salon right now:

Earlier works better for me...say 8:30-9am'ish? M has music class at 10am...


Oh yeah I totally forgot! Wanna just try for next week? Looks like no one can make it but us anyhow, so maybe more could come next week! Sometime D doesn't get up until 8 (which has been this huge wonderful thing that has recently happened. . . he has leanred to sleep and stay asleep!)

I'd love to send DH with the kids to the Riverview since I'll be working, but we're little germ factories around here. Seriously, this winter has been rediculous as far as illnesses. And it's got to be all my fault -- the kids and DH are home all the time, so I know it's stuff I'm bringing home from the office. Phooey! We get plenty of PTO time and can work from home... people have no excuse to be in the office if they're sick.

I'm still waiting with baited breath to hear back from the Eden Prairie community gardens so we can go play in the dirt. They offer plot that are a mind-boggling 20x60, and are still taking applications, so if there are any west-side apartment-dwellers who want dirt and fresh veggies, come join me!!

I'd be good w/regular meet ups but till lo gets here (so soon I hope) I have all my MW appt and BBP USs scheduled for late Fri ams (10am to noon- in those times) so unless its ealier (say 8:30ish) I'll have to wait for Mr. Man to be born. But that may be a good thing- I am so hormonally challenged (think crabby) that I am afraid I may scare you all. And getting out once he gets here will be good for me and DS4.

I looked into doula training about 5 years ago but didn't do much with it. Looks like a fun way to help mommies.I thought there used to be a doula mom here on MDC then too. Maybe her name was Sara.

Why oh why is it getting colder here each morn? I want Spring to come and stay.

Your in the home stretch girl!!! Just think of your beautiful new baby coming!! Hey did you attend that last LLL meeting I told you about? I wasn't able to make it but I will try to make it there in April!

Yeah we'll have to pick a different meetup day...any thoughts?

I'm a bit relieved to hear I won't be missing out on a Riverview meetup tomorrow. I was just logging on to say I'm getting sick and must bow out. I'd never forgive myself for spreading germs to you all.

Pretty much any day works for me. On weekdays I'm available (and kidless) from 9-1. Then I pick up DD from school and she naps through the afternoon. Weekends are more free-form. Usually we're all around (we don't schedule much on the weekends), just chillin' and running errands, etc.

On the topic of giving away free pregnancy stuff, how bout'a vomunteer Doula??!!! As you know with doula traing you need x amount of volunteer hours! Yikes I need to find some families!! Did you decide on the training you want? I'm going to go through DONA and possibly Birthing From Within, I would totally go to the CBC in St. Paul with you. . . There's a meeting next month, I'll keep you posted!

naturalmama- No I did not make it this time. At a point this week where I feel the need to get stuff done but at the same time too sore to do too much outside the home- los riding on my pelvic done and walking the grocery store gets me sore.

I am free almost evey day (w/the exception of Fris) in the am till lo is born that is. My dds get home from school about 2 so need to be here then. I can get out w/o DS4 Mon and Fri- dh's days off- like to spend that time w/him but also could use the break from DS. He's very active (ds) and right now that is soo wearing on me. I love him to death but some times just want to take him somwhere and run him!

Tine- there are soo many germs here I no longer worry about being exposed. How can I be w/4 dc in public school and dh working in a resturant. I worried more last week when dh was sick and being due so soon. He was bad enough I thought the hospital may not let him at the birth IF I had gone into labor. But please take care of yourself- there's this really bad virus going around that feels as if you have pnemona (sp?) and can't breath. My 3 youngest had a form of it, dh had it, dd 15, and ex still has it. He takes our 3 (the mid) twice and week and EOW so I think this is where everyone got it. I hope you feel better.

I plan on giving a birth at home next time, so I wont *need* a doula, but you can certainly be there for the experience if you would like! I will most likely go through DONA. CBC is tonight. Can you not make it? There is a meeting every Thursday I havent gone lately because of Hells Kitchen (my and DH's Favorite show! I need to find some families too. Lots of people know I am a childbirth fanatic but I think they know me too well and dont want me there? I am not sure.

Oh man! I forgot the meetings are tonight! I'm gonna pass as it's 7 right now and prob missed it Oh well next time!
