My zig-zag function has gone kablooey again. Last time the repair guy "replaced a belt", it didn't last very long mind you but it did work. I only use the Singer for zig-zags/buttonholes anyway (I have an industrial straight stitch) so if it doesn't do that, it's not worth having to me. It's 15 yo, BTW. I'm not keen to pay the repair guy for seems a simple enough job (I'm pretty handy, I've adjusted the timing on my serger's loopers). Point me in the right direction, please! Don't get me started on how annoyed I am that there are 16 million appliance repair sites, but none for sewing machines - sexist, SEXIST, I say!
