Goodbye teacher & bus driver gift ideas?

Thread Starter
We're moving and ds will be writing his own Goodbye/ThankYou cards for his teacher and bus driver (who are great people). I wanted to buy something that my son could wrap up and give to them too. Not sure what though! Candy, cookies, cake etc are easy fall-backs but since I don't know these people that well, I have no idea if they're on a diet or nut allergies or ??? I could get a coffee-shop or maybe WalMart gift certificate but then how to wrap it? thinking maybe buy boxes and wrap a gift certificate with small box of chocolates? don't know....any great ideas?

PS: i usually take a lot of pride and joy in cooking for people but that's not possible this time...way too much to do right now!

Gift Cards

We usually give gift cards to teachers. Sometimes we just put the gift card inside of the thank you card or Christmas card. Sometimes we tuck it in with a small gift. DH is into bookbinding and makes blank hardcover notebooks which are very nice. We've often given those with a gift card. A spring plant or box of chocolates is nice too.

Cookies, chocolate are good. If they're allergic to something, they won't eat them. They know they can't but they'll appreciate the gift anyway.

for people I know at least a little (having talked to the bus driver a few times or met the teacher several times ...) I sometimes opt for a foot massage kind of lotion/scrub/cream as a gift.
