Mothering Magazine for Older Kids?

My children are now 4 and 7, and I'd like to find a magazine like Mothering, but which isn't as heavy on pregnancy and early childcare. I live overseas and have friends bring me issues when the come to visit, but I find myself flipping through all of the co-sleeping and breastfeeding articles looking for information on school age children. Does a natural living family magazine exist, either in the US or UK, that is geared more towards older, school age kids?

I've been wondering if there is a magazine geared towards those parenting pre-teens and older, myself!

Wondertime is a nice magazine, not entirely NFL, but nice enough, that is geared toward the preschool crowd. Family Fun is definitely not NFL, but is a great resource for activites and ideas (arts-n-crafts, games, etc.) for elementary kids (I get sooo many ideas from that magazine). And I like Brain, Child for the interesting articles and debates, but it's not an advice-type magazine.

Wondertime unfortunately has ceased publication.

I love Brain, Child which is literary essays/journalism about motherhood, but it doesn't sound like what you are looking for.

Yeah, it really was a gem in the "glossy parenting mag" world.

We should start one.

At least an e-zine!

OP- I read blogs but I'm still holding out for an older kids mag. Even though I am still in pregnancy and baby phase I have BTDT so it just doesn't interest me anymore.

Natural Life is a great one. It's tag line is "Green Living, Natural Parenting, Life Learning"

I like it a lot.

Oh, and Kiwi is alright. Not necessarily NFL or AP but all about raising Organic, Green Kids and definitly geared toward parents of the school-aged set.

Actually, Mothering does have many articles geared for older children and teens. The cover picture and most of the ads are geared towards babies, but I was surprised one time when I went looking through the article indexes of several issues I had of Mothering and saw just how many articles were about older kids.
