any children appropriate book about morals and christian moral values ?

I've been looking for books on moral values that could be explained to children, preferably christian values but I wouldn't mind reading what other religions are teaching in terms of basic moral principals to children.

anybody who could recommend anything ?

I think Max Lucado may have some books. He also has the video series about Hermie. Which my kids love. :

There is also, I think, something from Bill Bennet--Children's Book of Virtues? maybe?

Childrens book of a Virtues was good.

we had one called Parables from Nature (<- look, its online) it was so boring I wanted to poke my eyes out but it gets a lot of good reviews. it was sweet. I'll give it that.

Kid Ethics from A to Z is a workbook/activity book with stories and cartoon-like pictures.

If You Had to Choose, What Would You Do? presents moral dilemmas to discuss with your children. My dd finds this kind of thing very engaging.

Thought of another one. Little Visits with God is a great book ... I've had it since I was a little kid, and read the stories over and over again.

They now have Little Visits with Jesus and Little Visits for Toddlers, as well.
