Question relating to medication that forces AF to arrive

Has anyone ever have to be prescribed medication to Force AF to arrive? After my last failed IUI, I had some strange spotting which was nothing like an average cycle for me. Doctor found cyst and told me to take a break. Well, after counting the strange spotting day as day 1 and counting since then, still no AF. I am currently on day 33 and have an appointment for Monday for a Pregnancy Test. If Negative, which I am sure of, I will be prescribed something. I am mostly wanting to know what this medication is and how long after starting it should I expect AF?

Thanks!!!!!!

Generally they will give you a progesterone - provera (synthetic) or prometrium (natural) - you take it 5-10 days, your period will come anywhere from immediately after stopping it to up till 3 weeks. You can also go on BCPs for a bit which some feel give the cyst a better chance to go away.
