I'm assuming she got ActHib by Sanofi Pasteur, in single dose vial, correct?

I think you asked for this link (manufacturer insert):

https://www.vaccineshoppe.com/image....pe=product_pdf

I got to that link from this page which lists all the vaccine inserts and links:

http://www.vaclib.org/chapter/inserts.htm

Yes, fever and hib disease are both listed as possible side effects. Here's another interesting article I just found, but when it mentions Merck brand, I believe that brand is currently not being produced (its the one with the aluminum I believe) and therefore the Sanofi version is probably the one that was used.

Ok now you got me curious... at what ages did she have the previous 2 doses of hib? (and the 3rd one at 15 months right?)

Because, I'm thinking maybe she did not need this 3rd dose at all, depending at what age the other 2 given. Here is the catch up schedule:

http://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/recs/sch...chedule_pr.pdf

IF the first dose of HIB is given at age 15 months or older, then "no further doses needed"

This is just purely guess but is it possible she could have reacted more strongly because she was already immune from the first 2 doses? Maybe this 3rd one wasnt' supposed to be given at all?

That is a strong possibility, too. He first dose of hib was given at 7 months, then 12 months, and now at 16 months. I remember her feeling a little under the weather on the 2nd hib shot, but we thought it was just her teething and diaper rash.

Yes, she has had the ActHib all 3 times. I thought if you caught hib with the vac, it would not be from the vac itself but from the vac lowering your immune and then being susceptible to catching it from outside sources.

I am not exactly sure how it works. On page 3 of that link I gave,

http://www.associatedcontent.com/art...urers_pg3.html

it says: (this may be in reference to the merck brand, and not the sanofi one- however, I'm guessing they would be similar if not the same)

HiB Vaccine Adverse Reactions

It is difficult for anyone to determine adverse reactions to the HiB vaccine because it is almost never given by itself. Usually the infant or child also received the DTaP (Diptheria, Tetanus and Pertussis) and the IPV (Injected Polio Vaccine) at the same visit.

The HiB vaccine package insert does list of reported adverse reactions, but is quick to point out this conundrum or proving causality when other vaccines were also given. The following is their list:

Irritability
Sleepiness
Pain/soreness
Swelling
Erythema (redness and inflammation)
Unusually high-pitched or prolonged crying
Diarrhea
Vomiting
Otitis media (middle ear pain)
Rash
Upper respiratory infection
Urticaria (hives)
Thrombocytopenia (blood disease characterized by low platelet count)
Early onset HiB disease
Guillain-Barre Syndrome (A temporary inflammation of the nerves, causing pain, weakness, and paralysis in the extremities and often progressing to the chest and face. - American Heritage Dictionary)
Tracheitis
Seizures
Lymphadenopathy (swollen lymph nodes)
Angioedema
Injection-site abscess
I am guessing that the previous poster (TH1TH2) was correct in this was the body responding as if this was a hib infection (note "early onset HiB disease") is on the list above. This does not mean meningitis.

How is she doing now? How is she acting - any playing, eating, nursing, sleeping as usual? YOu know her best and if you feel there are other unusual symptoms that she should need to see a dr for, then I'm sure you will be on top of things should anything arise. But it sounds like with just the fever alone, it is her body way of working through this illness.

I know its hard not to worry. I lost sleep too recently when my 16 mo. old was ill and I didn't know what the next day would bring... mothering is a constant learning experience, - fortunately after a few days of feverish illness, he was fine
