need advice

I am desperately in need of some expert opinions. I have a 4 month old who is staying with his grandmother during the day. With my other two I was fortunate enough to SAH, but not this time.

So, the little guy is getting big, and his grandmother is having a tough time carrying him (as he demands ). I currently use a Maya wrap with great success, and have a mei-tai that I don't love, but that is functional (ebay purchase 3 yrs ago). The problem is that his grandmother has limited mobility with her arms and can't manage the adjusting that the wrap requires.

I am hoping that a soft structured mei-tai (mine ties) will be just the thing for them. She does have back pain, is petite, and is fluffier than not. Ease of use is pretty critical as she has trouble lifting her arms.

Am I asking for a miracle? I was looking at the Ergo, the Beco, Pattapum, Angelwrap, among others. She is very interested in babywearing and was eyeing the Bjorn. I quickly steered her away from that, but don't know exactly which direction to point her.

Any input/advice is greatly appreciated. I know that if anyone can help, it will be you mamas.

THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What about a hip carrier like the Scootababy? It's not quite as hands-free as a back carrier, but it's very easy to use even with limited mobility, and the structured hip belt gets the baby's weight onto the wearer's hips like a soft structured carrier does. With limited arm mobility, getting baby onto her back safely might pose a challenge.
