We looked at a lot of Dr Seuss board books then. DS still loves to read them and is starting to enjoy the longer Dr Seuss books now. He also loved this book and still reads it.

My dd's favourite book is The Going To Bed Book. She has loved it since she was at least 6 or 7 months. Now she laughs in anticipation when she sees the book.

i saw a thread the other day for fave books for 0-1 yo. i couldn't find it again, but i saw this one instead. i have a bunch of these little board books that are excellent, though there are few pages and words, i like how the subjects are presented. on the front is the title (farm donkey, farm kitten, farm puppy, bear cub, baby dolphin, baby penguin, duckling) and at the bottom they say kid connection. on the back they say copyright 2002 publications international, ltd. there is a web address of http://www.pubint.com and there is a reference to the term 'book block' being trademarked... they have a picture in the puppy and kitten one of the litters nursing, and in the dolphin one they have it in the word that baby dolphin nurses from its mother. the animals are presented as i believe they should be, as animals in their natural settings. my 4 mo old likes for me to read them to her and look at the pictures. not sure if they are too simple for your lo.
