? about TB test for Kindergarten

Do kids need a TB test for Kindergarten? I got a letter from my ped's office today saying we're late on a bunch of tests. Obviously, no surprise, b/c we stopped vaxing when my oldest was 18 mo old. However, he will be entering K in the autumn and registration at our school district is next month. I noticed the ped's office checked mark that we were late on the TB test. Since when is the TB test part of the vax schedule???? Is that something that would still fall under the vax waiver (our state allows for philosophical waiver, which is what we used for preschool)? Or does he need to get the TB skin test, even if we don't want to vax him to, "prove" to the school that he doesn't have TB?

I imagine it depends where you live. It is not the case here.
