Need something good..

Help! I'm looking for a good book to read.. I feel like I cant find anything good.. My sister is a big Norah Roberts fan, so she keeps telling me to read one of her books but I'm not sure which one to read.. Any suggestions would be much appreciated..

What do you like? Shadows of the Wind by Zafon is a quick, can't-put-it-down read. And The Dead Secret by Wilkie Collins is another that's fun, though not a recent book. A Reader's Delight by Noel Perrin is a lovely place to start for suggestions. He makes you want to read every book in there!

Well, I am very disappointed in Nora's most recent books (last 10 years or so...). I think she got overly popular and started churning books out as fast as she could write them and they lost something. If you are going to read anything by her, please read some of her earlier work. They really are good reads with great character development and a gripping writing style. I recommend (in order of preference):

1) Carnal Innocence (this is by far her best!!!)
2) Devine Evil
3) Private Scandals
4) Honest Illusions

I haven't read a Nora Roberts book in years but this thread reminded me how much I love the above mentioned books. I believe I will start re-reading them!
