Okay, I am not pregnant and have never had a breech bub. But my SIL's first was breech and led to her first c-sec. We did not know better at the time. As I learn more, I am increasingly fascinated by the different types of breech birth and love reading/ seeing vaginal breech births. For some reason, I have not as yet come across anyone who has delivered a breech baby underwater. I loved my water birth and am just curious as to whether there is a reason why I am not reading about breech water births? Forgive my ignorance on the subject! Each day I try to learn something new!

This book feels good in your hands. The paper is heavyweight, and the illustrations flow perfectly.

Thanks guys! I truly thought water was such a gentle way to welcome my baby and kept thinking that it would seem a great gentle choice for a breech baby whose journey out might seem a little harder. Anyway, now that I have asked the question, I am sure I will start to hear of more breech water births. Jackie it sounds like you live in a very enlightened birth area! And Deva, I think you are right about them being so rare in general. Sometimes after being surrounded by like minded mamas on MDC, I forget that in the real world people still look at me as if I have two heads if I suggest that breech babies and twins do not automatically mean c-secs. Anyway, have a great weekend.
