Newbie questions (on behalf of my mom)

Thread Starter
My mom is a very experienced sewer/quilter/crafter. She has been doing it and teaching it for over 30 years. She makes quilts, diaper bags, grocery bags, chair cushions, placemats, napkins, potholders, doll clothes, you name it. But all of this has always been given away as gifts or stored somewhere for some future use.

I have been browsing Etsy and other such outlets for WAHM wares, and I am sure without a shadow of a doubt that her stuff is top notch quality comparatively, and that there is a big market for it, especially in the CD world.

But she is very computer illiterate. I want to help her set up a very simple site to sell her stuff, and I am thinking maybe we could even go into this together - I operate and maintain her site, she makes the stuff

I've been browsing this forum and I realize there is no "simple" way to do this, and that it will involve a lot of research and planning on my part.

I would love it if anyone could point me in a good direction in terms of learning more about this.

Thanks so much!

Hi

Some ideas, although I have not try them or I am new at as well

1.- ebay store?
2.- Sitebuild it? (it will help you with marketting too)

If you have the money, hiring someone to build you a simple shopping cart website and helping you set up a hosting package is probably worth it. I know there are web-builder mamas on here who do great work for an affordable price.
