Nursing in Carriers/Wraps - advice please!

I can not figure out how to nurse in a carrier.

I have tried a hotsling, an Ergo, and a Moby.

I have been methodical in my efforts to find detailed instructions including pics and/or video before trying it out with babe, and I have been careful not to try when I know she is starving, but every time we have tried she completely loses her mind as if I am trying to torture her. I am not exaggerating unfortunately

Is it possible that I need some help in person figuring this out, i.e. by someone who has done it before? Are there any special hints that maybe the online info sources aren't giving me??

Or should I just say I have a babe who doesn't like nursing in carriers?? I hope that's not the case...

I am convinced my boobs are too big to nurse DD in the Moby, at least handsfree... If I have her secure enough to stay latched, she gets smothered.

I really like nursing in a wrap because I feel like I can position the baby any which way I need to be able to nurse. I recently had a new baby (March 1st) and have been able to nurse him handsfree using a wrap. I think this all depends on breast size though. I'm about 36DD when I'm nursing a new baby. I have a friend that is much bigger and try as she might, it's just not that possible for her to nurse in a wrap. One thing you can try if you are bigger though is to carry baby lower, nurse upright (or semi cradle) and help out by holding the breast up a little. It's not completely hands free, but better than having to remove baby out everytime you need to nurse.

Here are a couple of pictures of me nursing my newest.

I'd be happy to help in any way possible, so feel free to PM me if you'd like.

Hey, I see you're in central NJ -- are you anywhere close to Princeton/Lawrenceville? I run a babywearing group on the first Monday of the month at 10 am in community room 3 of the Mercer County main branch library in Lawrenceville off Business Rt 1.
