Do I win longest the labor award?

So Demitrious Sorin R. was born Sat Feb 28th at 12:03 pm. Labor lasted 60 hours, 59 of which was at home. We ended up needing to transfer as he just was not coming out after 10+ hours of pushing. I DID get my VBAC though, it was just nothing how I imagined it would go. The full story is linked in my siggy, just click on "Demitri". He was 8 lbs, 11 oz and 21".

I feel like I can do anything now. The power I now know i hold is amazing. He is a breastfeeding champ and I am loving having him on the outside. We did have a bad first week dealing with jaundice that landed us back at the hospital for 3 days, but he is looking more and more baby colored every day.

Wow....I say you get the award, 10 hours of pushing is amazing, and congrats on the VBAC, that's totally kick-ass! Glad baby is doing well, now I'm off to read the birth story!

Congratulations!!!

My first VBAC was a 15 hour pushing stage, but I got a nap for a few hours in there.

Look forward to reading the story.

I'm impressed!

You need to update the siggie however... I don't see a link.

Wow I was sure I had the longest -- but it was *only* 53.5 hours! LOL Congrats on your VBAC, I was unable to have mine and it ended in a repeat section, but I sure did try.

That is a long labor. Been there and done that....our first babe was 60 hours of labor. Yikes. (Our other babies were a little speedier, but never speedier than about 8 to 12 hours.) Way to go!!
