Walmart Serger

Thread Starter
I just bought the Walmart serger they sell. It's Singer Ultralock with Differntial Feed. Not sure what that means as this is my first serger. Here's my problem. I can't get the thread in the needle. The space is too tight for my fingers which gets closer than the tweezers. So how am I suppose to get the thread through the needle and out the other end??:

Use the tweezers, that's what they're there for.

Or, if you haven't used the machine yet, take it back and get a GOOD serger. I've had the same serger for a couple of years- DH bought it for me as a gift- and it is a piece of crap that never works right. I'd much rather have a used machine that's in good condition.

Yes! That serger is BAD NEWS! You'd be better off with the Kenmore. It's pretty much the same price as the Wal-Mart one.

I agree that if you haven't used it, bring it back. I have a Brother that was less than $200 that has worked very well for me.

Then go to the fabric store and get a serger threader. It's like a regular needle threader with a big long arm. Makes life so much easier.
