ring sling eats my neck

No matter what position I have DD in the side of my ring sling creeps up and digs into my neck. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong. I've read the hints on www.thebabywearer.com and the info that came with my sling, but I'm still doing something really wrong.

I spread the fabric out over my shoulder & down my arm. Honestly the fabric goes almost halfway down my arm (& yes it does make moving that arm a little awkwards sometimes), but I've never had it move up my neck. If DH is around I also get him to tug the fabric down on my back a little bit & smooth things out - that makes it really nice & comfy.

The way I got my ring sling comfortable was to dispense with the whole over the shoulder business -- I position it with the fabric below my shoulder (well, maybe just a bit goes over, too, but mostly it's across my upper arm). So the rings are in front of my shoulder, but aiming out to the side, not up to my shoulder. Does that make sense?

ooooh, that's a GREAT idea! I have the same problem as the OP, and this adjustment might solve it for me

Thank you so much!!! That helped so much and I wore the sling for 2 hours in a row this week and had no problems at all.
