Look at those beautiful babies!! Okay, so who's home and how are things going?

I be Emmaline and Benny were so glad to be back together! It must have been hard to be separated after 9 months 'on the inside' .

We're still in the hospital. Close to getting out though! Benny's on 6 oral feeds and Emaline's on 5. We'll probably be out sometime between Thursday and next weekend.

How about you, Bri? Are they predicting yet when you might get walking orders?

That's great! We're not sure yet. He's taking half a feed when I put him to the breast.... then he falls asleep. But he'll take a full feed from the bottle. He's still mostly being tube fed though. He has taken 4 oral feeds in a row, though. He's 35 weeks gestational age this week, though, so I'm hoping things start to pick up and that he'll be awake more and cuing.

Well, if you want to be truly objective, there aren't that many really cute newborns out there...they have coneheads, pimples, red skin, etc., but we're programmed to find them irresistible. On an adult these features would be...less than attractive, shall we say .

yeah... I'm not a fan of newborns. I prefer them after the bruising fades, and the fat settles in. And I'll be the first to admit... Kimari looked like an alien when she was born.

We're 36 weeks 4 days, and you're about where we were at 35 weeks. Ben has just started taking full feeds while breastfeeding and Emaline usually takes all but about 10 ccs, so they're both progressing fast. Neither were taking anything close to full feeds a week and a half ago. You'll probably be home soon.
