Nesting?

I'm popping over from the April Board with a question.

How many of you had nesting going on before giving birth?

How long until you gave birth from when the nesting urge started?

thanks ladies

I've had crazy nesting urges for the past week or so, and am at 38 weeks next Tuesday-- but I think it may have more to do with when I've been feeling more time pressure, and have the ability to focus on nesting. It didn't feel too hormonal- not to say that there haven't been crazy mood swings and stress issues that probably ARE hormonal!
I think nesting probably has a lot to do with what else is going on in your life, though.
Good luck!

I've been nesting for the past several weeks, and I'm 38w3d today. My husband is now expecting to come home and find the house completely different than when he left! I just keep moving stuff, and organizing everything, and doing ridiculous amounts of laundry to be sure everything is just so. We're planning our first home birth, so I think a lot of it has to do with that. I want to be sure we have everything, and the house is set up right, so everyone (especially me!) is comfortable.

I don't think I had a nesting urge at all with my first born. This time, I really want to get stuff done, but I've been wanting to for the past month or so! I don't think my urge to organize really has anything to do with hormones or when I'll go into labor....I just need to get stuff done!

I have zero nesting urges, and it's disappointing. I've been putting off doing some work b/c I expected it to kick in. I'm due in 8 days and I've very little ready, and little drive to do it.

i generally start nesting at about 30-32 weeks! i like to be organised! but i have gone to 38 weeks with my last 2 pregnancies.
