Are vaccines safe?

This prominent vaccine expert, again, acknowledges that vaccines are not really safe. He tried to play around with numbers to convince people that vaccines are still safe, it's not just 100% safe---a clear contradiction of the word "harmless" which obviously means 100% safe causing no harm, injury, side-effects, risks and contraindications.

Q: Are vaccines safe?
A: The first definition of the word safe is "harmless." This definition would imply that any negative consequence of vaccines would make the vaccine unsafe. Using this definition, no vaccine is 100 percent safe. Almost all vaccines can cause pain, redness or tenderness at the site of injection. And some vaccines cause more severe side effects. For example, the pertussis (or whooping cough) vaccine can cause persistent, inconsolable crying, high fever or seizures associated with fever. Although none of these severe symptoms result in permanent damage, they can be quite frightening to parents.

"As with any medical procedure or medication, immunizations are associated with a risk of an adverse reaction. Typical reactions may include warmth, redness, and tenderness at the site of the injection, and irritability. Potential serious reactions vary according to the type of immunization, and include the potential for seizures, damage to the brain or central nervous system, and death."

Well, the difference is healthy, normal and non-diseased newborns do not need any medical procedure, not even medications.

From the same link right above that paragraph it says:

The safety record on vaccines

Vaccines are very safe. Today, the United States has the safest, most effective vaccine supply in history. Vaccines have provided Americans with tremendous health benefits, with a minimum of risk. In 1996, almost 81.6 million immunizations were given in the U.S. alone, and many billions more have been given safely around the world.
No wonder the medical community is capable of distorting any facts including basic logic and science itself.

I find it funny that "they" will say any medication has side effects and risks, even tylenol, but vaccines are safe. Just don't worry about that hours long inconsolable crying, fevers, swelling, etc., etc., etc......that's all NORMAL.
