Diva cup post?

Well AF has returned and I'm interested in trying it. I remember there was a multi-page post all about it and I can find it anywhere. Anyone have the link handy?

Or of course feel free to give me your feedback on it. Likes, dislikes?

LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! Using it right now, as a matter of fact (I guess that's not TMI if you've never met me. ).

Seriously, it's the best thing ever. I generally use a backup pad for the first two days since those tend to be very heavy for me, but now I buy a pack of pads once a year or so rather than once a month. It's been a lifesaver. And once the first two days are over, I can leave it in all day with only emptying once. It's clean, it's odorless, and it's environmentally friendly. What's not to love?

I've been using mine exclusively for the past several months. When I first got it I used it quite a bit, but my periods were so heavy I couldn't use it on my heavy days. So I used a mixture of tampons, diva cup, and pads. Since starting a regimen of vitamins, my periods are still long, but nowhere near as heavy. I can use just my diva cup now! It is very comfortable-you cannot feel it at all. I do notice a little cramping with it, but it's not as bad as it used to be. On my super heavy days I do leak a little, so I use backup. Like I said though, I haven't had to do that in awhile. I love love love it!!!

I was a happy user for two years (now pregnant). There was a forum that helped me a lot at first, it was on livejournal. If you google menstrual cup you should find it.
I also used backup, the first day or 2 or else empty it ever hour or two. The period I would have had if I was not pregnant would have been the first time since I started using it (2 yrs ago) that I needed to buy pads.

It's long

Some women love the Diva cup; those who hate it tend to be those who have a low cervix. If you cut the stem completely off, it's 57mm long (that's the wider size, for women who are over 30 or have given birth). I had problems with mine poking my inner labia (ow!) and also catching my underwear just enough to pull out of position and leak all over.

Measure on your finger and feel for your cervix on different days of your menstruation (some women's cervixes are lower during that phase of the cycle).

There are some great tables with length, width, capacity, etc of the 10+ cups on the market, at community.livejournal.org/menstrual_cups/1285963.html

Another big fan of the Diva cup here! It is the best thing ever! I use a pad as back up on day 2 if I'm going to be out of the house all day (i.e. no access to a private bathroom for more than 4 or 5 hours), otherwise I'm fine. It is so easy and hassle free

Love, love, love mine and will never go back to tampons!

I use cloth pads and pantyliners. Only need a strong pad the first night, then my flow lightens up enough. I always wear pantyliners with it but mostly just to make myself feel at ease - only time it ever leaked was when I put it wrong (steep learning curve, but quick) or if I went too long without emptying it (and even a tampon will do that).
