new micro-fleece not allowing urine through

I bought new micro fleece and sewed up some pockets, but the pee isn't going through fast enough and it is leaking out of the legs.

It has been washed a few times. Do I need to wash it more? is there anything I can do to fix it? Do i need to sew new ones with legs gussets or something so the pee doesn;t leak out of the diaper? I hate to think that I have sewed 8 worthless diapers.

Are they pockets with PUL? Did you put the diapers in the dryer to seal the PUL?

Or you might need to change your detergent - microfleece can get build-up quite fast with certain detergents.

they are with PUL. The problem is the pee isn't going through the micro fleece. I have washed them with washing soda and vinegar.

I had this happen before and it was because of the chemicals from the company. You really should do a stripping wash (with Dawn or whatever) to the microfleece before sewing... so you may need to be more aggressive with stripping now, not because of detergent, but jsut from the manufacturing process.

Good luck - hopefully that works!
