~JW Mamas Support thread~ - Page 3

Looks like I am Idaho bound...
Sean (whom I am currently married to for the moment...its complicated) is being transferred due to Qwest closing its call center in Littleton. We are moving to Boise by the end of July.
You know those stress lists that drs have? The one that indicates high stress levels? Well this was the only one my dr hadn't checked when I saw him back in October. I was put on heart meds. Well, now he can check moving as well.

What's really sad is that a sister just moved into the area and joined our homeschool group. She has boys Dusty's age and they get along really well. We've only known each other for a couple of weeks, but I love her to pieces...and now we have to leave. I could just cut my losses and file for divorce, but he still owes me money for bills and he can't pay if we separate at the moment.

The good thing is that I will only be 500 miles away from my oldest who will be in Tacoma. I was going to move to Tacoma in a year or so. So this just puts me closer sooner...

Oh well. Guess we will see what happens.

Shiane, I am so sorry that yet another thing has come up in your life. I have friends who visited Boise and they LOVED it and wanted to move, so maybe being there will be a good change for you plus being closer to your son will be good too, especially if things go the way you think they will with your marriage.

My prayers are with you, sis! Hang in there.

Shianne - I read your post and really felt sad for you and then I saw FLDoula's reply and thought - yes, that is a good point. You are dealing with the unknown right now but perhaps when you move you will discover you love your new home. Wishing you all the best ...

Doing OK. Life here has been sad lately. Lots of death in the congregation, especially sad this week as a sister lost her twin 2 year old girls in a drowning accident. The viewing was last night and funeral is today! SO not looking forward to it.

FL Doula! That is so very sad. My heart goes out to that family.

AFM: Well, my baby didn't develop, so I'll be having either a miscarriage or a D&C.

I'm sorry too Shianne.....what a situation to be in!

And FL...how sad to hear about those beautiful twins. I don't think I could do a viewing or anything like that...that would hurt too much to see that.

I did go to the viewing, but did not take the boys. The father is not a JW and I knew that we needed to make a good name for Jehovah in showing support to the family. It was so very hard. I actually saw them breathing. Like when I check my kids at night. It was like a dream.

The brother who did the talk did a beautiful job. He got tearing eyed during the talk and then completely lost it afterwards. It was so hard.

He brought the resurrection hope out to very personally. Used the scripture where Jesus resurrected the girl and said, Jesus is going to say that to your girls and then they will get up and take your face in their hands and kiss you on the nose again (something they did) say "I lah you" (they way they said it). Now the aunt and grandmother both say that they are more determined to stay strong because they can't let those girls down. Very true....

checking back in after a long break, but i wanted to say i am so sorry for you nisha. i hope you've been comforted by the article in the latest study magazine about lost babies having the resurrection hope. it's wonderful to know that our feelings matter to Jehovah and that he loves our children as much as we do. hope all is well for everyone!

Hi sisters! I was wondering if there were other Witness mamas on this board, so I figured I'd take a look in the spirituality section and here you are! :

My name is Meghan and I have 4 kids, ages 12, 8, 5, and 2 (3 boys and a girl) and I've been married for 14 years. We homeschool and try to live as simply as possible.

I'm looking forward to getting to know you all better.

Has anyone been to their convention yet? I went to one this weekend, and it was absolutely AMAZING!!! So encouraging and exciting!!! Our city is hosting 5 this summer, so I think I'll head to one next month too because it's SO good.

Hope you're all doing well and hanging in there.

I see this is a really old thread, but wondering if there are still any other JW mamas out there? I could use some support!
