Good (trustworthy) dentist for grownups in NH?

Hi, I am looking for a dentist for myself, and I really need one I can trust. I went to the Aspen Dental in Keene today, and quite honestly I think they tried to basically scam me. This woman supposedly found 12 cavities in a very short exam, and also told me I have advanced gingivitis and need some gum treatment. All told its over $1K after insurance. I have talked to my former dentist (a member of my family, but too far to go to any longer) and he doesn't trust them. He says this gum treatment is a relatively new way for them to make easy money, and also says it is excrutiating. Not only that, but the dentist I saw today went on and on about how afterwards it wouldn't hurt to brush & floss anymore, and my gums wouldn't bleed - but it doesn't hurt me now, and they hardly ever bleed. It has been a number of years since I've been to the dentist, so I'm sure I have some issues, but this seemed like too much. So basically I just don't trust them and just called to cancel all my future appointments. I'm hoping someone can recommend a good dentist that they trust. I am actually in MA, but our dental network is in NH so I need someone there. Anywhere in the Keene-Peterborough-Rindge area would be great, but I'm willing to travel a bit further if necessary. Thanks!

Our family goes to Dr. Sean Drower in Keene and I have been happy with the care there.

I have always had great experiences at Family Dental Care in Milford, NH. They are honest and gentle, what more can you ask for in a dentist?

My dentist is awesome! But he's probably a little too far for you. He's in Brookfield. But he tells it like it is, and he's very funny too.
