FINALLY, something's gearing up!

For the past few hours, I've been having some contractions. Quick & uncomfortable, but still not truely labor-like. I think I can safely assume prodromal labor (or at least simple early labor) has begun! The catch to them is they only kick in if I put pressure on my tummy, or if I'm laying down.
Better than nothing though, right?

I just hope baby waits until after tomorrow, I might be Irish, but a Patty's Day baby is taking it just a little too far

I've been having ctx that are about 30 - 45 seconds long, 3-4 minutes apart this evening as well! Not the first bout of semi regular contractions I've had recently, but I'll also take what I can get!

Funny about St. Patty's Day... I realized today that I would find it very annoying to have the baby tomorrow and hear people say, "Oh, a St. Patrick's day baby!" for the rest of forever... so he'll probably be born tomorrow. Although, with DH having his bday on Valentine's Day, it would be kind of cute for them to both have holiday-birthdays... (now that I've realized *that*, he won't be born tomorrow, lol).

Good luck!

I'm also having contractions today, but unfortunately I think it is just super-charged Braxton-Hicks. They just are happening every flippin time I stand up, sit down, lift, move. . . . ugh!
Since I'm still working, I am well, working, and these contractions are just making life (and my belly) hard, and me annoyed. Plus I palpated my pubic symphysis and there is like a half inch separation! No wonder it hurts so much!
I wouldn't even mind a St Patrick's day baby, but I think this whole thing is really just a tease, though.
I hope you all have more luck, and I can read some birth announcements soon! They are inspiration that this really does end, with some wonderful results. That reminder does help when *everything* is uncomfortable, and I think I might be pregnant for . the . rest . of . forever . :

That's what their duration & spacing is for me, essentially. Still stronger ones than the off-and-on ones I've had here and there the past week, though. They stopped when I ate dinner (a late one) for a while, but they're back again. And not limited to laying down anymore, I'm sitting at the desk getting them.

I called my mom to give her a heads up - she lives 40 min away and is going to be helping w/DD during & after the birth and has a tricky car situation... and the contractions slowed down and then stopped completely when I went to bed.

How bout you, Lizzie9984???

Mine did exactly.the.same.thing. It took me all night and part of the morning to fall asleep, and when I woke up, not a darn thing going on. :
