To make a long story short, it looks like my infrequent ovulation may be related to slightly high testosterone and slightly low estrogen levels. I also have known low cortisol, and probably have at least a mild case of endometriosis. And my luteal phase runs between 9-12 days.
My doctor suggested that I use a bio-identical hormone cream to even out my hormone levels - an estrogen cream for CD 1 to 21, a progesterone cream for 1DPO to 14 DPO. I'm planning on halving the suggested progesterone dose for at least the first few days - 10mg of Provera made me too crazy to get out of bed.
Has anyone ever used this? On this kind of schedule? We're not currently TTC, but goal #2 is to get the system working so that we'll be able to conceive a bit faster when we DO start up again. (the top priority for me ATM is getting my brain back - I've felt like I'm thinking through pea soup for a few years now, and I HATE it.) As for the endo - right now, I'm just hoping the hormones don't make it worse...
I'm curious about what to expect - the literature all says it can be used for this, but I only can find menopausal women using it (my FSH was low..) on the internet.
TIA!
