I'm irritated and needing some solidarity.

I had my 39w appt today. I'm 39+2 by their dates. Everything is FINE. FHR, BP, weight, fundal height, urine, movement, FINE. Better than fine. I feel GOOD.

And this is a MW I really like and went back to see for a second pregnancy. So explain to me why today I'd get told that I could schedule another appointment for 40w but heads up because I'm looking at NSTs after that "so you don't wind up getting scheduled for a procedure you don't need." Why even bring it up? I AM AT THE BEGINNING OF MY 39TH WEEK. WAY TO INJECT SOMETHING TOTALLY UNNECESSARY INTO THE MIX. Am I just hormonal or was that really uncalled for? I don't have a history of going late - I woke up ON my EDD and began a labor that ended the next day.

On top of this, I saw my chiro after that, who kindly informed me she thinks I have "at least two weeks to go." WTF!!!

Who says this?????

devils advocate but maybe she just wants you to be informed now about NST's...rather than have it come up in a couple weeks when you haven't had time to think about it. ??? just a thought. Personally, I like to know about things way ahead of time...even if they may never apply.

people can be very insensitive, i think people forget what it is like waking up every day and hoping that you will meet your baby that day, and dont think about the effect their words may have on a tired pregnant woman.

i hope your baby proves them all wrong.

grrrrrrrrrrrr....they are not thinking like a pregnant woman. just ignore them and continue your journey as peaced out as possible.
