as i mentionned before dh needs surgery for his crohns and is holding out until after baby is settled, but bless him this last week has been hard and looking after us all has really worn him out, yesterday he slept a real lot and today he is still very, very tired. i didnt sleep well last night as my breasts are so full of milk i feel like they will explode, but i had to get up to get my 2 boys off to school this morning as dh cannot manage. and to top it all off dd was sent home from nursery yesterday with chicken pox!!! so no days off with dh while dd goes to nursery and she is obviously feeling unwell, however when she is ill it never seems to effect her sleep so she is sleeping fine.

but its a bit mad here, new baby, crohns disease, chicken pox.....: however friends and family are being very sweet and i feel very calm if somewhat knackered.

I'm DDC crashing, but my husband was having a terrible flare of colitis when my dd was born, and it was miserable. He was trying to be my labor support while rushing to the loo every 5 minutes. It was a true disaster. This is one true case where he was more exhausted than the birthing mama after 48 hours of labor. He then had to take care of us after the emergency c-section, which was crazy.

However, he finally had a colectomy with end ileostomy, and he is doing MUCH different. I know it is a different disease, but they are similar in many ways. My heart goes out to you.
