Immigrating & Vaxing in Geneva?

Were seriously considering moving to Switzerland. I know that Diphteria is the one "required" vax for kids in the canton but I can't figure out just what required means. For school? Before you're arrested and your kids removed? Is it possible to get around? What about living in the French areas of Geneva? You have to live where you work, right?

Also, in the US there seem to be different rules for vaccinating when you're an immigrant. Any idea what may be unavoidable when attempting to settle in Switzerland? We're non-vaxers.

TIA

Nobody asked me anything about vaxes when I moved here. I'm fairly sure nothing is required. Also, as far as I know, schools don't require anything either. I wouldn't worry about it at all if I were you!

But it's probably also important that you aren't too terribly squeamish about potentially getting *some* of the diseases. We have quite a lot of cases of measles, whooping cough, etc...way more than the numbers reflect. I can totally see why the plague hit Europe, everyone lives on top of each other.

good luck!
