Sick, exhausted and nothing doing

Last week at the OB, he checked me and I was TOTALLY closed... baby hasn't dropped, contractions haven't picked up, haven't lost any of my mucus plug...

Went to the nurses today. Weight is WAAAAAAAAAY up. She took my BP three times because the first 2 times it was also elevated.. by the third time it was more acceptable. She didn't seem concerned about the weight or BP. Urine showed nothing to be worried about.

Then on to the non-stress test. It took her almost 10 minutes to find the baby's heartbeat. Then I sat for 30 minutes while one doppler monitored the baby's heart beats and a second monitored any contractions.

I had a few contractions but the monitor says they're not 'labor'.. Sigh.

My 22 month old was a pure angel the whole time... Thank you!!

The nurse then took the readout to the OB and she said the OB says everything is fine. I then asked her 'What now?'... she got this confused look on her face... I was like.. "Look, tomorrow is my official due date. Do I need to make another appointment for this or what?"

I mean seriously... there have been no indications that this baby is ready to be born any time soon and yes, I realize that I can go from 0-10 in an hour with no signs beforehand, but come ON! Her reaction was like... "Do you expect to still be pregnant?"

She suggested I make an appointment with the OB for next week. So I did. Not sure if I should also make an appointment to see the nurses to make sure my urine is free of glucose and protein...

Later today I have an appointment to see the GP for this cold/cough/congestion that is totally kicking my butt.

(FYI, here in Israel, standard prenatal care is with an OB but all non-high risk hospital births are attended to by midwives... the fact that this OB will NOT be delivering me is the only reason I'm still with him)

All I can say is, I feel ya. I don't feel like I am having a baby anytime soon...no signs whatsoever. And I totally didn't expect this since my ds was born at 36 wks. Ugh. And baby just decided to flip posterior at 38 wks when its been in an optimal birthing position up until now. WTH? Disappointing.

Hang in there. Soon.

Well I am 5 days "late" and have no signs of labor. I have not had any cervical checks so I have no idea if I am opening or not but I am just hanging out waiting. I feel totally fine other than being tired and feeling sore when I wake up. I am just bored and sick of waiting. I need something to do but everything seems to take too much energy so I just sit and do nothing. Hang in there we can't be pregnant forever.

Take it easy and just hang out...emotionally that's what you need!!

You still have two weeks before you're postdate. Are you in a position where you can load up the couch with books, coloring paper and just hang out with your toddler?

Sucks, I know, I'm now 11 days past due.

Part of the problem is that Passover starts April 8th... and I've got shopping, cleaning, cooking that needs to get done. In addition, I had surgery on my toe a month ago and it's still healing, there's still a lot of pain so I can't even walk to get things started...

Yeah, I'm just a huge whine today LOL.. I need chocolate.

You totally deserve chocolate, mama! And maybe a massage. hope baby vacates soon, I know how much it sucks to be sick and past due, I had that with all of my 3 kiddos. This time I'm feeling great, but things change FAST .

Hugs to you, hope you're holding your LO soon.

Hang in there! I seriously feel your pain. I had an NST on Monday, and have another one tomorrow. They aren't fun at all, are they? If the monitor slips at all, it makes you paranoid that the baby's heart beat stopped, and sometimes it will pick up the mom's heartbeat. Ugh.
