What is your favourite handpainted yarn to use for soakers/longies?

I looked through the list of yarn shops stickied at the top but so many are no longer around!

So I'm just looking for your favourite yarn sellers. Would love to find some wahms that handpaint their own wool. I'm in Canada but would buy from the US as well.

(Okay it doesn't have to be handpainted, but I'm looking for pretty colourways!!)

Thanks!!

I just knit up a bunch of longies for my boys out of 3IG. Beautiful but spendy. My lys owner has her own line of hand paints and they are beautiful and she can do whatever colors you want-

Here is her Ebay store- you can email her about whatever colors you want. It is like so much cheaper than anywhere else for her merino- 8 oz for about $20.

I buy my own undyed yarn and color it with kool aid. It's fun, safe for kids to do, easy, and you can experiment.

iowaorganic, thanks for the link - very pretty stuff!

MamaWolfe, funny enough, that's what I decided on yesterday! I bought some of knitpicks Bare wool, and plan to try out some kool-aid colours. I'm super excited to make my own colours!

Thanks!

I love 3IG, I mean super heart them. Sharon is really sweet, and I feel good supporting her in her business. Plus the yarns are dreamy. More expensive than I can spend as often as I'd like, but if you search hard, there are co-ops out there for them and that gives a GOOD price break
